Our much-anticipated Expansion Information Session was held on Wednesday 30th April and was dedicated to Gael Davies, OAM.
We reflected on the remarkable life of Gael on what would have been her birthday. Gael was a driving force behind the Gallery Expansion and will be dearly missed by the Foundation, the Gallery and our community.
The evening began with a viewing of Lottie Consalvo’s “I Tried To Make A Horizon For You”, exhibition at Watt Space. Gallery Curator, Gillean Shaw was a wonderful host who provided insight into Lottie Consalvo’s practice.
Guests then made their way to University House for an exciting expansion update by Gallery Director, Lauretta Morton, OAM and Matthew Bennett, Project Manager, City of Newcastle.
