The selected artwork for the Gael Davies OAM Tribute Fund is— Ethel Carrick, Flowers in a glass vase, c.1928 proposed acquisition.

The acquisition of Flowers in a glass vase is a fitting tribute. Its colour, vitality and light echo the spirit Gael brought to the arts community and to the Gallery she championed so passionately.

Gael’s legacy will continue in the Gallery she strongly advocated for during her inspirational life. She shared her passion for art with her community, motivating family and friends, aspiring and established artists, collectors, passionate like-minded souls and anyone who would listen to her. Her tireless championing of the arts saw her dedicating immense time, energy, and expertise to the arts the Foundation, the Society and her cherished Gallery.
