The Civic event brought together Foundation representatives, government officials, civic leaders, partners and donors who have supported the Gallery’s long-awaited expansion and transformation. It was an opportunity to reflect on the vision, collaboration and generosity that have helped bring the reimagined Gallery to life.
Foundation Patron, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, formally reopened the Gallery.
The occasion marked not only the reopening of a building, but the beginning of a new chapter for Newcastle Art Gallery, one that will enable the collection, exhibitions and programs to reach broader audiences and inspire future generations.
