Suzie is the co-owner and director of Hudson Street Hum a creative arts workshop space in Hamilton, Newcastle. She began her career in corporate communication, eventually specialising in change management, before transitioning into fundraising and development roles in the non-profit sector. Prior to relocating to Newcastle in 2012, she was Strategic Partnerships Manager for Habitat for Humanity and a part of the highly effective fundraising team which delivered the 10- year Masterplan redevelopment at Taronga Zoo. The move to Newcastle has allowed her to pursue her passion for the creative and literary arts which she sees as a central pillar to building vibrant, diverse, connected communities.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Business-Communication and recently completed post graduate studies in Social Impact at UNSW. She brings skills in communication, fundraising and development, community-building and strategic planning to the board
