Major expansion donors were welcomed to an exclusive preview of the new Valerie & John Ryan Gallery 4 on Friday. The space showcases more than 130 works by some of Australia’s most significant artists, including Joseph Lycett, William Dobell, Grace Cossington Smith and Margaret Preston, with the collection valued at more than $30 million.
We thank each and every expansion donor for their generous contribution to the reimagined Newcastle Art Gallery and now look forward to the much-anticipated Grand Opening on 28 February 2026.
