Welcome to Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation
The Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation is an independent, volunteer-led, registered not-for-profit charity and a principal philanthropic partner of Newcastle Art Gallery.
Since 1977, the Foundation’s support has helped shape the Gallery’s collection and future, contributing 340 works of art valued at more than $18 million. Most recently, the Foundation committed $13 million towards the Gallery’s landmark expansion, helping secure its place as one of Australia’s leading regional cultural institutions.
The Donor Circles
We are pleased to introduce a new initiative designed for those who wish to play a more significant role in its future.
The Donor Circles have been created to bring together a community of committed supporters who share a belief in the power of art to inspire, challenge and connect us. Through annual giving, members of the Donor Circle will directly support the growth of the collection and the delivery of an ambitious exhibition program, helping ensure our Gallery continues to thrive as a place of creativity, access and excellence.
As a member of the Donor Circles, you will enjoy a closer connection to the life of the Gallery through special events, behind-the-scenes experiences and opportunities to engage with artists, curators and fellow patrons who are passionate about the arts and the future of our institution.
